Easily generate checksum
information for all the files inside a specific
folder and subfolders, or for all the files
on a specified drive. At any time after generating
the checksums, you can verify the files for
which you have checksum information, and find
out which files have been modified, deleted
or are unreadable because of disk error.
All the checksums are stored
in a single file in the directory you added
checksums to. The checksums file is called Verify
Files.dat. When generating checksums, a Verify
Files.exe file is also added to that directory.
By running Verify Files.exe, you can easily
verify the files.
The program is especially suited
for adding a verify data capability to the CDs
you want to burn. The users of the CDs only
have to run Verify Files.exe in the root directory
of the CD in order to check if the information
on the CD is still fully readable and is not
altered (some CD-ROM drives don't report errors
when data is read incorrectly).
The algorithm used by Easy Integrity
Checker is CRC32. File sizes are also stored.
Easy Integrity Checker
is freeware.
